Dear JJ,
We are now into our tenth year at AuctionArms.com and I really cant remember the last time I sent a personal e-mail to all of our Auction Arms Users at once. Im sending you this e-mail now because I ran across an unbelievable deal, and I thought you would like to know about it.

I recently returned from the NRA Convention where ran into someone you might have heard of - Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. We got to talking, and Dr. Piazza has made a reputation for himself by giving away tens of millions of dollars in world class firearms training, guns, and gear - to make it easy for law abiding citizens to secure what he refers to as the Comfort of Skill at Arms.

He also make me a aware of an offer that thousands of people have already taken advantage - the free guns he gives away. I found out about it and I'm taking advantage of it myself.

You can see the details of this offer at http://www.frontsight.com/free-gunAA.asp

Normally, Dr. Piazza only provides such amazing offers for his own students, their immediate families and friends. But because I was so impressed with his course and the free gun, I asked him if he could work something out for Auction Arms users.

Dr. Piazza agreed, but told me upfront that he only had a limited number of Springfield Armory XD Pistols to give away at no charge so Auction Arms users will have to act fast.

So if you want to take advantage of Front Sight Firearms Training Institutes Four Day Defensive Handgun Course and One Day 30 State Concealed Weapon Permit Course at a substantial savings PLUS if you can act quickly, also get a brand new, Springfield Armory XD Pistol and a bunch of great tactical gear AT NO CHARGE, then go to http://www.frontsight.com/free-gunAA.asp today and take advantage of the Millionaire Patriots amazingly generous offer.

Thats right! A Springfield Armory XD Pistol in 9mm, .40Sw, or .45ACP at NO CHARGE!

Its very easy to get, just go to http://www.frontsight.com/free-gunAA.asp

I know a free gun and gear sounds too good to be true, but it's true! I've already taken advantage of it myself and I hope to see you at Front Sight when I attend my Four Day Defensive Handgun Course and One Day 30 State Concealed Weapon Permit Course.

You need to go to the special webpage that Dr. Piazza created just for Auction Arms users to secure your FREE GUN. This offer wont last long as he only set aside a LIMITED NUMBER of Courses, Guns and Gear for Auction Arms users.

So go to http://www.frontsight.com/free-gunAA.asp today and take advantage of the amazing benefit that Dr. Piazza and Front Sight are generously offering to us!

See you on the range.

Sincerely,

Manny DelaCruz

CEO/AuctionArms.com, Inc.

PS Im no stranger to weapons and training, having been in the Marine Corps for four years and running AuctionArms.com for the last ten years. I have to tell you that EVERYONE I know who has been to Front Sight raves about it. Here at Auction Arms we are all chomping at the bit to attend our course at Front Sight so I hope we will see you there too.

It's a great facility, but I can't fly all the way out there for a class.

This is from Auction Arms' Scammer and Fraud Alerts
portion of their forums.

For now- It looks like at the worst- Mr Manny "shared" (read sold) our email addys to this Frontsight outfit. - which I don't really appreciate. I'm thinking the deal is legit- except there may be a bit more to it and I don't know anything about Dr. Ignatius Piazza or his reputation other than he has vids on his site that give his organization props for donating bookoo FRNS to gun rights lobbyists- including GOA,JPFO, NRA, USCCA and SAF.

(EDIT- I'll retract the first portion of that - as I have no evidence that emails were granted to third parties. Apparently the email was from a legitamate AA administrator.)

At any rate- Here's the discussion going on over there.

That is crazy. I could spend $50 with the local NRA people maybe a little more for a series of advanced classes if I thought it necessary. So why would I spend over $1,200 plus expenses? It smells .... it really smells.

I got the same email and went to check out the site. I have heard of the frontsite training for a number of years and it appears legit, however it could also be a cross domain hijacked link - I didn't look at the time. but I did navigate back to the front site home page.
I think the 1200 price is typical for these traing facilities - about 250-300 a day is not that bad. Its a promo like a few years agot Thunder Ranch was offering free machine gun shooting to get people in the door.

It's rather distasteful marketing to say it's a free gun, then...

at the very bottom of the page after a bunch of marketing spew, say free WITH purchase of $1199 training/material.

It may be a great value but it's not FREE yet he makes it out like it is

Remember the old saying: Those who can do -- do; those who can't -- teach. In addition, this guy is a merchant, and so does what merchants do. Perhaps his mistake is believing that some people are this gullible -- or perhaps he knows his target audience well.

You've got to be kidding. You obviously have no idea what actual training is vs some lame NRgAy pistol (read safety) class. :confused_ma:

Had I the time and cash I'd jump on some of front sights other offers, this one isn't that special to me, but based on standard class prices it's still a "good deal".

Lemme see, I filled out the paper work and gave the cop $55, a copy of my DD214 and a month later I have my CCW in hand. Then again, I'm not a paranoid nut looking to be James Bond 007, licensed to kill. If it gets that bad the other team has more resources than I can ever hope to attain.

The nra doesn't train for this:

Since I wasn't fortunate enough to go thru BUDs and SeALs training like that gentleman I've got to find alternative training.

This is all the NRgAy trains you for-

Fate favors the well prepared.

Re: This is pretty crazy...Free XD's???

Yeah, we have a "Firearms Academy" as such down the road just under 10 miles that teaches a number of multiple CCW, handgun, defensive shotgun, urban rifle courses, concealment and barracade, etc. I notice that the average cost is about $260/2 days but you do shoot about a 1,000 rounds/day as well. Still, considering the cost of ammo and other costs, this isn't bad at all since it is local and I could be there in minutes. However, I do note that all the instructors also make sure to say that they are also NRA instructors for the purpose of local paperwork for CCW permits.

I am kind of almost intrigued by a couple of these classes and oddly enough I know a couple of these instructors since we spar on occassion for our San Soo training. I really haven't had the time to really check it out but have been able to keep up the martial arts training and I would suggest that most here become proficient in hand-to-hand combat techniques to augment their survival skills and for some good exercise (BTW, San Soo is not a tournament sport, a basic premise of San Soo is there are "no rules in a fight" and it incorporates techniques that aim to remove a threat as quickly and effectively as possible).

In my area, a number of "institutes" also offer various high-priced courses, such as Urban Combat and Ultra-Long-Distance Sniping. These appear to be designed for people who believe they can gain a lifetime of skills and experience in two or three days -- and are willing to spend thousands to prove it.

If you look at the indepth training schools, they go from 2 day to 4 day to skills courses ect. ect. ect. Not simply are they trying to make money but they are building and ever improving your skills. You are also supposed to practice what you learned when you leave.

I have a single friend who goes to AZ and NV for training several times a year (single, good job plenty of disposable income) and the decent schools are for real. Front site being one of the best to develop a core and Suarez to take it to the next level.

The art of weapon craft is a constant learning process.

To speak more directly to your "lifetime of skills in 2-3 days" comment, only a maroon would think that but if you haven't been thru a course like one of these you have no idea how dramatically your skills improve. 2-3 eight hour days of intense training pay off.

The 'cheap' way to prove it. Go to an appleseed shoot- 2 days, 70 bucks and you get a t-shirt and free targets. Unless you've had good formal marksmanship instruction your skills will improve 2-3 fold in 2 days, maybe more. No joke. Prior to that I thought my 2" groupings at 25 meters with iron sights was "very good" now I'm pissed when I group 1" at 25 meters with iron sights.
www.RWVA.org They hold one in every state, most states in multiple locations.

Re: This is pretty crazy...Free XD's???

Yes, Appleseed is definitely worth the money, but its goals go beyond marksmanship. The training itself is directed towards getting groups down to 4" at 100 yds. Fred's rifleman guide, which comes free with his targets, should be enough for that.

I got his DVD in the mail yesterday and watched it last night. If I had the money I would definitely go to some of his courses.

I actually think that his business model is pretty freeking cool. A vacation resort for gun owners.
